I have a bunch of 146G 10K drives as above in racks designed to go into a disk array. They are surplus to requirements now. I was hoping to put one in a server I have that has SCSI but I might need a new host adapter that can handle this type of drive. Plus the drives have a strange connection on the back which looks like they are designed for hot swap mounting.

Does anybody know if this type of drive could be put into a standard workstation (with a suitable HA).

If not, then I might have about 10 such drives available for sale :-)

Most probably an SCA connector.

Usually plugs in to a backplane rather than a cable.

Thanks - that looks like it and I found some adapters on Trademe.

[update]

Bought one to try out and if it's okay then I will be getting some more!
