I would like to send mail out from a batch file or a program via an Exchange Server. I used www.blat.net initially and it works fine for mail going to the domain users but going outside the domain Exchange complains about not being authorised to relay mail.

What should I be asking the Exchange Administrators to enable this function?  I am guessing it's some sort of anonymous access to the server which might pose a risk except the Exchange Server is behind the firewall so it cannot be accessed externally anyway.

Any ideas appreciated.
