Hi Everyone,

Long time listener, first time caller.

I am amazed at how much telecommunications cost in NZ compared to alot of places around the world. The problem is that only 2 or 3 companies in NZ seem to have control of the market. I am interested in developing a website that would allow users to log in and send group text messages to people on all networks. There are currently companies like Telecom and Vodafone that offer this service to businesses but I am more interested in developing something that would allow anyone to create an account and send text messages to 50, 100+ people.

Does anyone know how I could do this? Is it easy to purchase or develop something that would allow a website to send texts to all NZ mobile networks?

You can always get an account with Clickatell for example and use their API to write the application...
