Hey,

I've been asked to quote on a system for someone who wants a multi monitor setup.
Sounds pretty standard but:

They have a building that they want to have 5-7 plasma screens dotted around.
They want these 5-7 screens to be able to show the same thing or have different things showing on different screens.  They also want the sound to play on the screens if sound is needed.
The content that will be shown on the screens could be anything from a powerpoint slideshow to a DVD to a video clip, to a flash animation.
They want to have a control room where they can control everything and see what is playing on which screens etc.
The system also needs to be easy to use as it will be used by lots of different people.

Anybody ever done anything like this before?

Opinions are my own and not the views of my employer.

Sound will be workable over HDMI on one port of each graphics card, but not all playback software can have the device selected, media center cant, flash cant, some other media players can, and can have a fullscreen device selected - media player classic home cinema has options to choose where to fullscreen to.

Problem is as you open and close fullscreen devices on one video card, playback on others stutter as modes change etc.

Multiple computers is going to be the easiest way IMO.
