There was a post a while back that mentioned that the Samsung Education Store Discount had increased.  Here they are for anyone curious.

S20 --- $1124.25 (25% discount)
S20+ --- $1424.25 (25% discount)
S20 Ultra --- $1649.25 (25% discount)

Something of interest is that the devices seem to be "unbranded" in that the model number doesn't end in the usual VNZ / TNZ / NZC.  For example the S20 Ultra has the code SM-G988BZKDNZO.  Yet they still make you choose a carrier at checkout.  So maybe I'm just confused.

Also the website seems a little broken for me at the moment, as I get "too many redirects" when trying to view the specs page for any of the S20 phones.  (I was keen to see if these models were still dual sim)

What is the website URL ? i cant find a samsung education store. thanks :)

U need to be a university student to get that discount I take it??. My sons starting uni this year he to slow to make his ID etc flipping hopeless lol

By the time he starts, the phones will have been available to the general public for a similar price - discounts are plenty for Galaxy phones several months after launch.

Had a look at a S20 in the flesh yesterday. Great that Samsung have finally minimised the edge curve so that it no longer distorts images on screen.

Hi all, do people recommend purchasing it off the Samsung Website (through EPP) program for the greatest reduction in price?

I'm contemplating between getting the phone (S20 Ultra) off PBTECH or through Samsung. Obviously I would sell the pb tech bundle but I feel like everyone is going to do that and not sure if I can break even with Samsung's discount of 25% ($550).

It also seems like Australia gets some further discounts alongside the EPP program which is a pity 😭; I've been following this thread - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/518177 and they seem to get a bonus battery pack and also they can reduce the price by a further $50 if they sign up to some newsletter.

Also on a side note, does Samsung accept AMEX? I see on their FAQ page (https://shop.samsung.com/nz/faq#tab2) they do but in the list of payment methods, AMEX isn't listed. I have an Amex Platinum airpoints card and would like to take advantage of the cashback + screen protection insurance.

I also have a question around EPP. Would you get the 12 month screen replacement warranty?

When I messaged the live chat, they said they didn't include that as part of the EPP program (along with Galaxy buds not being included). It's also shows up as a item in your checkout on the regular Samsung site when you attempt to purchase an S20 phone but when you purchase it through EPP, only item that shows up in your checkout is the phone itself.

Why is a pre order able to distort time? Once the pre order is placed all time slows and what should be just 3 weeks slows to feel like about 6 months.

This needs a scientific study I think 🤡

I believe you are experiencing "Time Dilation" from Einstein's theory of special relativity. Match your relativistic velocity to the S20, problem solved haha. Or stop observing clocks, apparently.

Anybody worried about getting the back camera glass scratched on the Ultra? I'm weighing up the pros/cons of putting some sort of protector on it, especially as its not sapphire.

Yes, surely there are cases that can be thick enough to protect it?

I have the S20 Ultra phone case already... it's not the same by itself, it seems empty inside. Like a black hole

Hey guys, just been in Australia and saw they had the s20 ultra leather case in blue, does anyone know how to get a hold of them in NZ as I've seen we only have the leather case in black.

My biggest issue across the board with the nz market is no one is having a 512gb variant but Australia its available, i cant understand that why in 2020 there is such a market gap , its kinda disappointing.
