nata5: Finally got to play with one today - Noel Leeming at Botany had one as well. Beautiful phone, I must say.

Darn it, should have checked NL when I was at Botany Town Centre yesterday, I only went to Voda & 2degree stores as well as jbhifi.

Luckily got to see display gunmetal grey & silver display unit on my recent trip to Europe. The silver is similar to the M7 from last year.

There is a working display unit at NL Wairau.

I am selling my 32GB Nexus 5 D821 to try this model. I use handsfree a lot - and although it works quite well for Nexus 5, I would like to try the One's volume... my cars are not exactly quiet.
I have a real good contact there - but even with personal discount, I think whoever purchased it using 20% off deal had an excellent deal. They have Telecom ones in stock about 5.

I am going to buy mine from Australia when I am visiting in 3 weeks. I can probably buy one for around $795AUD - 10% tax.

Anyone had any problems with WiFi on there HTC One, I keep having problems when connecting to my home WiFI, where it just sits there connecting and discconecting, and it seems to make all other devices on the WiFi do the same. Never had this problem until I got the M8 and it happened within minutes of turning it on.

Only way to resolve it seems to be restarting my router which is a pain.

If you're brave you can just cut the sim down with scissors. There's plenty of tutorials online... saves you a few dollars.

People never cease to surprise me in a bad way. You are ok spending $1000 on a beautifully crafted flagship smartphone, but not ok to spend $5-10 on a simcard for it, rather risking the proper functioning of the entire phone due to potentially cutting it wrong.

I thought they are free? When I went in vodafone to change from micro sim to nano, I wasn't charged anything.

It was the same for me on Vodafone. They want you to continue using their services right?

yeah it was free, just walked in to a vodafone store and asked...
first day so far with the m8 and the battery life is insane... 16 hours into it normal use, and i'm still on 60% battery life, compared to my old m7 it would be on close to 20% battery life by that stage... so so impressed...

I'd agree with that I got to 50% at the end of the day and then I spend another hour or two browsing the net and still had 30% left
