Cool - if finally has it's own native weather widget :)
Is there a list somewhere of what new stuff is in this build @NikT ?
<- don't ask me where I am - I haven't a clue: its a tech thing ;)
Housewife computerer: not particularly great at either.
And don't take me too seriously.
Updated and have the weather widget.
Maps and play store missing so go to Hot Apps to do the GMS thing
Oooo - you cant actually read about any of the apps they recommend. You can only install them.
Nevermind: I know I need the GMS one so install it.
Run GMS, which updates Google Framework and Google Service.
Restart phone because Play Store and Google Maps stalls.
Let phone stay on for at least 5 minutes to make sure it's fully restarted. No, lets leave it 10 minutes, just in case.
Connect to internet via WiFi, launch Google Apps Installer (aka GMS) and click Repair (only option apart from cancel)
Progress: 0% after 16 minutes
Any idea how long this will take @NikT ?

Yeah I have the same problem i.e. lost Play store and Maps etc
I googled it then tried this youtube clip which downloads the play store APK but it didnt work saying I already had Google Play store installed and to uninstall - but its not in my apps list to uninstall :(
How to get play store and maps back?

It took my wife's Note 2 about 5 minutes to do the repair.

I followed @NikT's instructions earlier in the thread: look for an app called Hot Apps (which Meizu/Flyme provided as part of system) Open that, choose install for GMS one - that's the Google core apps updater thingy (not proper name and description I know)
Once that's done and you've restarted the phone then run Google Apps Installer (which is the actual name of the one you just installed) It will show Google apps that it will update/repair. Click repair.
Then wait...
And wait....
At least that's how it's meant to work ;-)

And just to prove me wrong, now it's doing the repair/update ![]()

OK yep, just trying that... have followed steps and up to the part where I just clicked repaired... at 0%.... now waiting..... zzZZZzzz
yeah mine did that (88%) before i did the reset and repair... still at 0% on the repair... will give it a few hours
2 hours later and I checked it and it had stopped as if it never started. Just re-clicked the repair button and starting again from 0% :(
Same again 50 mins later... i.e. it had stopped and repair button reappeared.
3rd time lucky...
Thank you NikT. I used to Google Drive link last night and M3 phone sorted now. I had to download onto USB and then transfer to phone as no Google Drive on the phone. Finding that could be tonights' challenge!
Back to being stuck at 0% for "repair" of Play Store and Google Maps. No option to do them one at a time or anything else

OK this is getting a bit frustrating now. I cant get the repair to work - tried about 5 times and none have worked.
I need to get play store back, if i'd know this was going to happen I wouldnt have upgraded :(
Any ideas?
My wife's Note 2 got another Hot Apps update at the weekend and was invited to install a beta software. Needless to say i decline the beta update..
