mrtoken: Ah i see it comes with an insert for the dock.

Wish they would sell more than one of these as it now looks like my other 3 docks can't be used.

Oh well.

Have you tried emailing them and asking for more? They're so helpful and respond really fast.

Oh you are right, emailed them this morning via their website about buying a couple more of the dock inserts, just got a reply saying they will throw in a couple more for free :)

Happy now :)

Youb: The leather backing that came with it was white but I haven't used it. One of the main reasons I got this case was that it compliments, even showcases the phone rather than cover it up.

I got it from twdevilcase.com, the official site. They list in USD so it's $33 for the case plus postage and it comes in around $65NZD. Obviously a lot more expensive than others but a lot better than all I looked at in my opinion so I treated myself!

what is the difference between one of these and the $10 ones you find on trademe? (eg http://www.trademe.co.nz/mobile-phones/accessories/cases-covers/sony-ericsson/auction-902394756.htm) I'm liking the look of the bumber style aluminium case because, as you say, they showcase the phone. So I want to grab one for my Z3C.

So mine has just turned up (got it in black).

Have to say I am very happy, I already had glass screen protectors on my z3c (front and back) and the case fits around them fine so no need to remove them.

Might take me a day or 2 to get use to the metal feel of it but happy with it

Plus they included an extra dock fitting after emailing them (so I have 2).

front and back? is the back one to protect the camera lens or something? (is this why I've seen some packs with two protectors, one matte one glossy? (I have no idea which is better for the screen)

Well the back of the phone is also glass so that is why I put one on the back, I would rather have a cracked protector than the glass cracked on the phone

.

for that matter, if SD cards are all much of a muchness, or ones to avoid? (looking for a 64gb, I guess)

Keep an eye on Noel Leeming, they had 64GB Strontium Nitro (85MB/s) microSD for $36 at their last sale. Depending on what you plan on doing with it, SDcard speed and quality can have a pretty major impact on performance and user experience.

I can't say who's best, depends on location and your usage needs I guess. If you are needing a new sim have you thought of getting a Semble ready one?

never heard of that before. I guess with a lock screen and app protector that would be a lot safer than my paywave card. unfortunately I'm with Westpac, though (looks like they don't do them).

after someone else posted about one with read speeds twice that fast, I opted for one of those, random online retailer half the price of the usual suspects (64GB, $57 all up).

also finally purchased the Z3c itself. decided to go with the cheapest Kiwi retailer instead of the parallel import Hong Kong companies. best of both worlds :)

I couldn't justify $65 on a bumper case so I went for the cheap option :p and got one of these aluminium ones, cost me about NZ$6 including shipping, also got some 9H tempered glass for the front and back glass which also only cost about $6 or $7.
