Dingbatt:Kopkiwi: Anyone tempted to hold off and get the apparent Prime?
5.5" QHD, Snapdragon 805, 18MP camera? Sounds awesome!
Yep, mentioned it a few pages back before things went OT. Couple of things to consider though,
goodness knows what price it will be,
maybe for limited markets only (bands, freqs, etc),
not offered by NZ telecoms (you can have any colour as long as it's grey),
might end up turning into the Max and be too big.
Did you mean QHD or UHD?
strokes: Here's a funny question, how to I unlock the m8 when I get a text, and go straight to the message (if one message)/messages (if multiple messages)?

Greekiwi: Yes I had this problem. The only fix I have found for it is not one you are going to like - factory reset. The problems seems to occur when you let the phone automatically install the apps you had on your last phone.
Once I performed a reset I check to make sure the notification light worked, and it did. I then proceeded to reinstall all the apps manually. Bloody annoying but it worked.
Edit: Just read that you don't have one yet. So knowing the above it shouldn't be much of an issue.

Thank you for contacting HTC.
We understand that you have some query regarding the warranty for HTC One M8. We are happy to discuss your concern and assist you.
Please be advised that we have our partner mobile networks which we have contracts with for distribution and warranty. As such, your handset is entitled to have the warranty within the retailer where you purchased the handset. In relation to this, they have their own repair center where they send the handsets for proper assessment and repair.
If the handset needs to be sent for repair, we usually advise to contact the store or place where the phone was bought to claim the warranty. If you will purchase an overseas handset and will be residing in New Zealand, you may send the phone back to our authorized service center for assessment and repair. However, since the unit was purchased outright, you may need to shoulder the assessment fee. You may still claim the warranty of the phone for repair provided that there is no physical or liquid damage found on the phone. Just present the copy of the original proof of purchase to Mobilefone Rescue for verification purposes.
For future reference, you may contact Mobilefone Rescue at +6495731125 or +6433796555. You may also visit this link http://www.mobilefonerescue.co.nz/mobilefone-rescue-contact-us.php/ to view their contact details. They will assist you in sending the handset on your behalf for repair. Repair quotations and specific details will be discussed by Mobile Fone Rescue to you directly. We would like to remind you of the following information if you will be needing to send the phone for assessment/repair:
1. Kindly backup your phone’s data to prevent data loss.
2. Remove any third party accessories as our authorized technicians will have full access on your phone.
3. Repair charges may be applied if the assessment results indicate that the issue was caused by physical or liquid damage. It will be covered under warranty if still within the warranty period.
4. The remaining warranty based on the purchased date will continue once the physical or liquid damage has been fixed by our authorized repair center. If the repair was done by a non-authorized service center, the warranty cannot be restored.
5. Please secure the original proof of purchase for warranty verification. You may request to the shop where you purchased the handset if they can provide you with a copy of the proof of purchase if you are unable to find it.
Please let us know if this information was able to help you with your concerns. If not, kindly advise us of the issues you have encountered. Should you need further assistance, feel free to share your preferred contact schedule as we would be more than happy to contact you directly over the phone for support or you may give us a call at 508-482-886 and provide your customer ID: 052333. Our business hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. Auckland Time, from Mondays to Sundays.
Have a nice day!
