Ambrose_1: I'm real keen on this phone, but wondering if I should wait for Samsung I9000.
Thoughts?
On paper samsung phones always seem awesome but they always turn out horrible. These phones are pretty much same specced, differences are slightly better processor, bluetooth 3.0, internal storage and super amoled 4 inch screen.
In my opinion you should go for the desire or the nexus one (I have a nexus and couldn't be happier). If the desire could make me a sandwich I would marry it lol its that sexy.
The support on these phones are awesome, xda makes hacking these phones fun lol you will get bored with a samsung phone. Updates will be very slow as you will have to wait for samsung to adapt their ui to whatever androids next update is, same goes with sense. Heard the original galaxy took months to get an update and will never make it to 2.1 (legally anyways) and that was released q2 last year i think.
Oh and the gpu is the best on the samsung, but there are no games on android that will take advantage of this and no developper will develop a game for one phone.
If you want to wait for a phone I would suggest waiting for something that wastes the 1ghz snapdragon, anything else will be made redundant before the years out.
