Any idea how to change the Pull down from screen from search to Notification drop down?

I used to be able to pull down from any where on home screen to drop the top notification bar down on my Note 9. On Mate 20 it just opens a search Apps menu.

Has anyone that placed online order for black colour from PBTech received any info about when they will ship the phone? I tried to get in touch with them and they told me that have no idea when they will get stock so cant say anything about delivery at this stage. Apparently Huawei NZ are not giving them enough details and shipping units at this stage.

That's a bit rough considering they have plenty of Black on shelves now for sale.

Have you tried telling them that you will consume one from existing stock and get the free goodies that comes with Pre-order when they arrive?

The online support team told me that none of their shops have any in stock?? Do you know any shop that has in stock? They gave me an option to either wait or get a full refund.

Give Queen street and Auckland UNI a call and see if they still have them. They had them on Monday this week unless they are really sold out now.

Speaking to the device folk here, Stock in NZ has been limited due to a few screen issues.

Apparently there was an issue with touch sensitivity on the edges of screens? I haven't seen reports of this.

Might help explain the issues with stock.

Latest update from PBTech is that Huawei have told them they have no ETA on when stock will be available in NZ.

I rang PBTech Queen St branch and they didn't have any stock.  They said there were a few available at some other stores (not Auck Uni).

Strange that online store says no branches have any stock but when you ring the branches they have had stock (until today) and there are a few left.

I happened to be in PB Tech North Shore buying something else and asked if they had any Mate 20 Pro in stock. They had 2 in black, so I grabbed one. Might pay just to go into a store and ask on the off chance any of them still have stock?

So I noticed a clear green tinge around the edge of the display. It's only noticeable in darkness with very dark black.

I was curious and went to look at my galaxy s7 non Edge in the same lighting and also noticed a green tinge across the entire screen. Not sure what to think of that.

Should be noted the camera makes it look worse than it looks to the naked eye

Yep. Exactly as i said. Camera makes it worst.

But nighttime youtubr (dark skin) or spotify in work carpark makes it stick out so badly....

I think part of it is, i was aware it was there so it was even more... Noticable...
I'm told telelogistics return a new device with a protector preinstalled though which is atleast a nice gesture on huaweis behalf.

I can see it slightly on you tube dark. Which is dark gray. Interesting that the clock app which is pitch black I don't see it at all. Possibly because the pixels aren't on due to the way oled works. At this point a non issue for me but I'm thinking some displays colour shift more than others.

Telegistics is putting screen protector for note 9 screen replacements as well. It might be a gesture from them to give credit.

I'm only ok with them if they don't harm my use of the device...

The glass ones tend to be okay

hio77: Anyone had issues with wifi having no ip randomly?

Haven't noticed no WiFi IP problems but sometimes it seems to "hang" and pages stop loading or apps stop working for a few seconds. It works if I refresh or restart the app.

Interesting. I started using the Cloudflare 1.1.1.1 app to force DNS via a tunnel and the "hang" doesn't happen anymore. Since then I have switched to use the Private DNS feature instead and it works fine:

PBTech have bundled the Mate 20 (not pro) with the QC35 Bose headphones (again) for their Black Friday sale: https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MPHHUA0292100B/Huawei-Mate-20-Smartphone---Black---Bundled-with-B
