Almost. In recovery select update.zip (which is the CWM.zip renamed to update.zip) you may need to select update.zip twice. Once installed then you can install any .zip file. That would be Docs zip file. Reboot after flashing the rom before flashing any add-ons. That's very important.
Wipeout: Sounds awesome! Yeah, I saw that another update is due sometimes this week from Doc. I might wait.
A couple more technical questions. Nandroid in CWR mode is for backing up Roms, right? So I can back up my current Rom for both safety net, plus warranty. If so, where does this Rom gets backed up to? Internal/external storage on the phone, or could I just move it onto my laptop?
Titanium is used for backing up apps, correct? But if I do a clean install of the custom rom, how do I run a Titanium back up if it's no longer there? Or does it gets stored on the internal memory or something?
Doc's Roms from what I've seen is a single file. Does this mean I don't have to worry about the Phone and CSC fields in the Odin and just use PDA? The other thing when flashing, do I need to worry about bootloader updates, or should I just leave it unticked.
I might also investigate how to flash with Heimdall, as I really enjoyed the experience first time around. Besides the drivers are already installed, so should be piece of cake. :>

@Wipeout - I'll try answer as best as I can, no promises on it being 100% accurate though.
Nandroid backs up your complete ROM (though from my experience it won't restore your modem - so if you flash to a new modem you'll have to flash your old one once you've done the restore). The ROMs get backed up to /mnt/sdcard/clockworkmod/backup/ - from here you can copy it onto your laptop.
Titanium is used for backing up apps, when you do a clean install of your ROM so long as you don't format the internal SD card your apps backup will by safe. It's stored in /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ - you can copy this to your laptop for safe keeping also. After you flash the new ROM you can install TitaniumBackup and it will find your old apps so long as they're backed up and in the /mnt/sdcard/TitaniumBackup/ directory.
I've only ever installed Doc's ROMs from CWM, usually I flash the stock ROM of whatever they're based on then flash CF-Root, then install CWM using 2e recovery (rename it to update.zip) and install it using the menu (you'll need to do this twice for CWM to load). Then from CWM do a factory reset/clear cache/clear dalvik cache, then install Doc's ROM using the install from zip file function of CWM (can also install the addons now also). Then restart the phone, you'll hear a robot chick talking you through the reset as the lagfix is enabled.
When flashing you should never change any of the tick boxes unless told to. You should only fiddle with the bootloader if you're trying to fix your 3BR mode (if you were one of the unlucky ones that your phone came stock with it broken).
Could buy new headphones I guess, seems a waste to not make the most of these though, as they seem to be pretty good quality (and I've got two pairs of them thanks to insurance :)). Don't understand why Samsung wouldn't sell the phones with different sized ear buds, everyone else does.
The good thing about most custom ROMs is that they usually come with CWM pre installed. This means I don't need to install Rom Manager anymore. Nandroid backups and kernels, modems, or any kind of update packages can be done within the recovery/CWM menu. So easy and love the convenience.

My Captivate came with different size ear buds and I'm another one where even the smallest size don't fit. Might have to source another pair of Motorola S9 head phones. They go over the top of the ears. that's the only way any headphones will stay in my ears!

Hey guys I have trouble getting my internet browser working at the same time as facebook/gmail/google talk and other applications that's installed on the phone.
I went to parallel import today and they got my internet browswer working by setting the APN to "live.vodafone.com". But then after that my facebook, gmail and other apps on the phone stopped working like there is no internet access and network available. When i changed it back to "www.vodafone.net.nz", the apps worked again and internet browser stoppped working ("web page not available"). Other setting like proxy, port etc were the same. the only difference was the APN.
This is so annoying. How can I get both of them working at the same time? cos at the moment I am switching from one APN to another depending what I am using....

I selected internet+mms like you said, does it mean that I have to enter all the mms settings under the same APN? cos at the moment I have it entered under a seperate APN.

Thanks for your patience Damager. But it's still not working, the same old problem. I wonder if this is a manufacturer's fault or if I am not doing the right thing. The Messaging app isn't working either, I had to download Handcent SMS to txt.
Dont think its a phone fault. It can take a while for the settings to stick. What happens when some one sends you a pxt?

Does the 2nd apn have a white light next to it? If the fIrst one is green that's good. If the secondary apn doesn't have a white light then the settings may be wrong or hmmm not sure!
