tanivula: Wow, what a difference a kernel makes, well that and under volting! Experimenting with Talon kernel, overclocked to 1.2Ghz and under volted at most frequencies. 12 hours uptime and still 77%.

Glad to hear about the battery life. I tried Talon's kernel and it was slower than Speedmod even overclocked.
fahrenheit: Speedmod K15H-T12 has not solved my problem. I just woke my phone out of coma just now (takes 10 seconds to hold down the power button).
I see you are having the same issue lokhor?
Not happy!

fahrenheit: ^ Are we both using EXT4 and on 2 Degrees then?

Yup

Yup
Hmm, I'm not sure what to try next, but if you say T8 has been trouble-free, I might consider that too.

tazzydemon:
IMPORTANT. Under Modem choose BUJP5 if you are Vodafone.
fahrenheit:
I did this initially but I flashed JV1 modem which is the one that VF NZ have in their Gingerbread rom.
Even though I'm with 2 degrees, I found it an improvement over JP5.
There seems to be something wrong with deodexed JVP-based roms which is causing the phone to coma. I am very tempted to try stock JVP because I am totally fed up with checking my phone and finding I can't wake it.

Where can one get their hands on the JV1 modem? XDA is so messed up trying to find stuff, didn't see it in Perkas stash and a quick google failed me also. I wonder if it's an improvement over BUJV3.
