Hihi,
I've got my phone connected to an 802.1x EAP network at work - all the internet bits seem to be working, except there is no background syncing of data going on.
No blue wifi symbol, stays grey. Syncing works fine on WPA2 and open networks, as well as on mobile data.
I'm guessing its some port being blocked by the corporate network here, but tbh I have no idea why it wouldn't work the same as it does on every other kind of connection.

Cheers for reading, any ideas on getting sync to work?

My guess is that the corporate firewall is blocking most outbound connections. If this is the case, there's pretty much nothing you can do.

If the corporate network uses a proxy server for web access, you might be able to get some things to work. It's quite hit-and-miss though, as only apps that use HTTP/HTTPS for sync are likely to have much chance of working.
