As an avid crossword fan I was disappointed to find that the recently announced Guardian Crossword App is not available in New Zealand, although it is available in Australia.

For what reason, and by whom, are such decisions made?

Yes, I know about rooting and market enabler.
I have a rooted phone but have just got a new tablet and am a bit reluctant to root it at this stage.

I was just curious as to the rationale behind such decisions.

Is it possible to migrate apps between android devices?

Yea no problem (most of the time) just get the .apk and install it from your SD card, as long as its not a system app

I've just found that the app is in fact already installed on the Tab.

Looks like all the apps on my (rooted) GT-I9003 were automatically installed on the TAB when I linked it to my Google account.

Cunning devices these Androids!!    Surprised

In that case if the app is not protected, you could just take the apk file and sideload it on your tablet.

I knew that. I was wondering why the OP didn't try that?

An interesting one is dictionary.com.

You can download the free version from Google Play no problems.

But if you attempt to buy the paid version from Google Play, it says:

"This item isn't available in your country".

What? Has New Zealand failed at Englash that bad we're beyond help.
