Hi All

I have just ordered my Galaxy S3 and am now in the process of figuring out how I'm going to spend the next 5 days waiting.

I am currently looking for an email solution and would like to know what everyone is using. Currently I don't have a smart phone so have been relying on windows live desktop (ISP, 3* Domain and Gmail). I would like to keep separate in-boxes for each address (ideally using a desktop client). I see Godaddy has a hosted exchange package for USD$8.49 including an Outlook 2010 license - BUT I can only sync one address. Syncing all my email would be the ideal solution.

Any suggestions?

I just use the supplied email app as it sync's all my accounts, Xtra, hotmail and yahoo. There are heaps of apps depending on what you want.

I use enhanced email. As well as having multiple accounts, it allows you to bypass MS Exchange passcode lock.

kaiten mail.
You thought K9 mail was good, this is the next level up.
It comes with a big red mailbox. Email doesn't get any better than that.

I use maildroid.. I liked it more than kaiten & K9..

That's quite probable as maildroid has an edge on Kaiten as I read it and from what I know.

Don't use Exchange, but maildroid indicates support for Exchange 2003,2007,2010 whereas Kaiten only states support for Exchange 2003,2007. Also Kaiten doesn't appear to have the richness of features that maildroid does at this time, but very close.
Kaiten now has multi-message select and has a message preview, whereas maildroid has a better left column layout, but misses the 2-3 line preview in favour of date and day message layout.

Kaiten is competitively priced ($6.00) for the service it provides and as the free maildroid comes with ads, one would really need to purchase the ad free version. ($25.00)

The free maildroid uses 35MB of memory as a resident service, whereas Kaiten only uses 14.8MB and slightly less CPU in a similar configuration. That said Kaiten with approx 9 email accounts and etc uses 27MB on another device so it's all swings and roundabouts.

Both Kaiten and maildroid have split screens which is a must on a 40"(HD-TV) display or tablet, maybe not so on a 4" phone, but it's something to consider if you have other devices using the same Android account.
