This morning a free GPS Extension Kit (dongle) arrived via courier, for my Asus Transformer Prime.

I applied for this free GPS dongle back on April 16, more information can be found here:
http://event.asus.com/ASUSPad/TF201GPS/

Previously I could not pick up any GPS satellites inside (near window), and would take minutes to get location outside.
Now with the dongle, a location is found inside within 30 seconds, and outside within 10-15 seconds, so great work by Asus.

The price was right. But it is a shame they couldn't come up with a solution that still allowed the dock. I guess the rationale is that situations where you need the gps you probably won't need the dock. I have a Bluetooth gps unit that is about the size of a matchbox, so am no longer as concerned about whether a new mobile device has high performing gps or not.
