Hi,I want to wipe all my info off my Galaxy S2 for resale.Am on XT,standard android 233.Assume I just back up my contacts,transfer all my photos,etc,?But what then?Basically want to put my sim into new s3 and restore all apps.

Hi gazza, you are right, mostly. If you back up your contacts on Google, then when you sign in, with your Google account on the s3 your contacts will be restored. Pictures should be transferred to PC, culled and then transfer any that you need to the s3. As for the apps, you can go to My Apps in the play store and re-download the apps you want. As for reset, just perform factory reset with SD wipe which can be found in the settings menu in various locations depending on the phone. If I helped in any way, I take payment in unwanted s2's ;-) . Good luck selling your phone and enjoy the S3

Settings --> Security --> Factory Reset

Or, turn the phone off, turn it back on while holding the Volume Up button down, then select "Wipe data/factory reset" from the recovery menu, then power it off.
