I was under the impression these phones worked on xt aswell?  works no probs on voda, just thought I would put my telecom sim in as ive got more data to use on that, but is a no go.

Must have the model that does not support the 850Mhz 3G band

You need the I9000t to use it on Telecom. The I9000 is not compatible with Telecom

its the international phone so should be quad band meaning it does all of them. My S1 wasn't a T model but worked just needed to set it up

There isn't a quad UMTS band Galaxy S. The different models either support 850 or 900, not both.

Your handset must of been connecting to a XT 3G 2100Mhz site or it was the correct modem for XT 3G 850Mhz
