So a new version of Gmail allows you to reply / delete / archive messages directly from the notifications shade.  This works well when there is only one message but not if there are multiple messages.  Is this right?  Do the reply / delete / archive options only appear when there is one message?  Or have I overlooked something and there is some way to select the message you want to work on from within the notifications shade?

Only appears for the one message for me too. I also only have the options of replying or archiving.

You can change the Archive option to Delete by changing your settings to tell it to delete when swiping rather than archiving.
