bazzer: Weird. Did I not post saying that I hadn't managed to get the update yet? I got 4.1.2 as soon as I set up my (new) S3. I'm on I9300XXELLA, which I gather is the older 4.1.2 update?

When I try to check for updates now I get an error "Access to the software update service is provided to users in the order in which they request it. Try later."

I'm not in a real hurry, my main focus was getting to 4.1.2 (to protect myself from SDS?). I assume this error means they're busy, so I can wait for it to roll out to me.

bazzer: I see that from above, but aren't other people being offered it OTA? I don't mind waiting. As far as sudden death goes, my chip is identified as VTU00M, 0xf7 which means I'm OK, right?

totaliser: Has anybody with a S3 2 degrees phone with a XT sim having any problems after the update? I charged my battery last night and the phone quite warm this morning. Didn't take any notice until about 2 hrs later when the phone was still warm. Had a check and found that I had only 45% battery left. Only had one program running which doesn't cause that much of problem. Anyway, I have reset the phone and going to try it out again.
