My Exchange calendar will only sync manually on my Galaxy S3. I want this to be automatic, like it is on the iPhone.

I've only had the S3 a few months, and I'm pretty sure it was syncing correctly when I first got it. I may have made a change to the settings over Xmas but I can't find what changed. I've deleted and re-added the Exchange account as well, to no avail.

Anyone got any ideas where I should be looking?

Under settings for the account, there's something like 'Exchange ActiveSync settings' and there should be a Sync schedule there?

Yeah, it's set to Push during peak hours and manual during off-peak. The email side of things is working fine and new emails are pushed. But the calendar appointments want me to sync to update.

Is there a tick next to Sync Calender on the accounts settings page?

The Sync Calender is ticked on the accounts settings page.

But the MS Exchange ActiveSync page shows sync disabled? [img]https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/274476/pics/sync.PNG[\img]

Is anything syncing? Looks like sync in general is disabled?

Yeah, emails are syncing fine. Doesn't make any sense at all!

sounds like you have turned sync off for all accounts in android system setting - easy why for me on 4.1.2 to check is to pull the the status menu (swipe down from the top) and there should be a sync icon on tool bar - is it green (ie sync on) or white (sync off)

Hmmm, I remember that icon... but it's not there anymore. I'm running 4.1.2.

All fixed! Thanks to bagheera's suggestion I went looking for my missing Sync icon. I've restored Sync and we're set.

Turns out, if you update from 4.1.1 to 4.1.2 while Sync off then it doesn't matter what you do with the accounts settings.

Thanks for your help.
