Have tried a couple and they both suffer from some bad underscanning of the UI despite outputting a 1080 signal. So its scaling and not very well at that. Diagonal lines get steps in them where lines are dropped.

Video plays fullscreen but all the UI stuff has a 1" gap when the tv is set to just scan.

Since the 2 I have are struggling on the current youtube app anyway its time to replace with a new one but I want a propper hdmi output.

Any suggestions?

Does the roku play all youtube vids available to a tablet or just a tiny subset of them like the smart tv app's have access to?

Really use the other apps more than youtube, its just the cheap one I have with only 512 meg ram is struggling in most apps now, like rdio and similar.

I use a Raspberry Pi and XMBC. I suspect it can do youtube but I've never tried it, I mostly watch stuff I have.

What's that one that was done by kickstarter? Ouya? Might be worth a look.

I was looking on dx and saw some listing 2 gigs ram for about $90 so I might try one of them.

Yea, got an email from DX today with header, "Quad-core Mini PCs Create endless Possibilities".

Interesting Android devices.

Let's know if you get one.

But, must say, I won't be subbing my win8 netbook as my LAN/TV combo any time soon.
