I've tried for ages to do this but can't work it out.

My wife has a bunch of photos she has taken on her phone and which were sync'ed automatically to her G+ account.

She can see them on her tablet fine.

She wants to share some of them with friends who are not on G+.

However when we view and choose the photos to share on her tablet, the share option only brings up G+ and sharing to her circles. The people she wants to share the photos are not in her circles or for that matter G+ users. You can't just type in an e-mail address.

Is this possible?

On the web client you can type the e-mail addresses of people you want to share with but no on Android which seems a bit strange.

Thanks

If you can access the G+/Picassa folder from the Android gallery you can share to email from there.

We can see the photos okay from G+. They were uploaded by the auto sync option. Trouble is when we select a few photos and choose Share, the only option is to share to G+ circles and you can't type in an e-mail address.

But you can from the desktop browser version of G+. I guess we could go to plus.google.com and ask for the desktop version but that's pretty fiddly on a tablet or phone.

As Brad has suggested, do you really need to share the photos specifically from G+?  Even though they were uploaded to G+, you should still be able to see them via Albums and you can certainly share to email from there...

Try this

Open photo in G+ and then hit the share button. Click on public which will bring up a search button top right hand corner. Click on that and then type in the email address of the person.
Then share.
Make sure public is not ticked.
I think this will only work if you use gmail.

Yes that is what the G+ forum recommended.

I also found if I posted to a dummy circle with nobody in it I could add the email in the message as + person@domain.com

Not exactly intuitive.

They are not on the device to share - only in G+ Photos. Plus on the device they are 2MB each so 10 photos is going to take some time to email.  Anyway that's what cloud is for isn't it?
