Rumour has it that the HTC One Max is due for launch next week (Oct 15ish). 5.9 inch phablet with boomsound and fingerprint reader as well as up sized One specs. I don't see how it is going to compete with the Note, even if it's better. Personally I think HTC would have been better to concentrate on up-speccing the One into a One+.

The One is a great phone, however too many things missing. Apparently the One Max will have removable back cover with SD Card slot, which is a big plus. For me however, the camera is a real let down. It doesn't come close to what I can now get with the S4. Though the almost 4:3 pictures on the S4 are beyond annoying

i have come to the conclusion the One's camera is not as bad as people make it out to be, sure it is not in the same realm as the the Nokia 920 or 1020 but it holds it own and while not class leading is more than satisfactory.

A larger screened One would be a damn good piece of kit however i would not buy one as I doubt it will ever get the GPe experience and for me the look and feel of the One coupled with a pure Google experience pretty much makes the One GPe the best overall Android phone available for now

You could always build from AOSP for it. This would be really easy if CyanogenMod do a release for it.

I thought it was good too. Then I went go Melbourne and the MCG to watch Liverpool and taking photos was Fuking awful. Didn't have enough pixels to pick out any detail in the players or the supporters. It was a blurry mess. When compared to friends to note 2s and s4s, I knew it couldn't compete.

Sure its not the guys pushing the buttons?!!

My previous phone was a Lumia 920 which plenty would argue as on par or better than the S4 as far as camera goes and yes it was better but not worlds apart. One trick I have learnt with the one is to touch the screen to focus before hitting the button, the phone does quite a good job of focus and exposure then

I currently operate an HTC One and a Note 8.0. I think the One Max will probably fall into that gap in between for me, too big for phone too small for a tablet. And if it has a plastic back that kind of removes some of the design chic that the One has. Will benefit from expandable storage though.
