Anyone upgrade to Hangouts 2.0?
Mine updated over the weekend and switched it over to accept SMS as I was starting to get annoyed with GO SMS and its increasing ad filled nature.

However no matter how many settings I changed in GO SMS or Hangouts, I could not get Hangouts to notify me when I had received an SMS.

Anyone else experiencing anything like this?

I too have just recently dumped gosms as it is now too full of adds and slow to start, I did totally remove it from my phone pior to the hangouts update

Hangouts SMS works fine for me, but I never had GoSMS installed on this phone.

Logged a support case with Google after ready many other similar issues

I had hidden some google notifications because I kept getting crap from google plus about photos, and that seemed to also hide some of the hangouts ones.

Update to this
Installed 4.4 today and it has resolved the issue
