I'm trying to make a decision as to what 4G-enabled 10" tablet to purchase; at the moment there are three models I'm considering (given below) - I'd really appreciate anyone's advice regarding the merits (or otherwise) of these or others I have missed off the list. In particular, I'm interested in hearing the perspectives of those who have used or own an Xperia Z.
iPad Air: while not an Android device, so not directly related to this forum, this has been what we've always planned on purchasing up until rrecently. Probably best choice for our kids, given they're used to using an iPad (school; grandparents); plus a great choice of accessories (eg, decent keyboard cases).
Samsung Galaxy Note 2014: wife very keen on the s-pen for art-related stuff; both of us have Android phones; then again, going by reviews not convinced by the wifi only model's performance, so am awaiting reviews of the 4G version (given the different processor) to see if this is acceptable.
Xperia Z: only available parallel imported here, but at a good price ($800 plus a bit more for a decent sized SD card versus $1250 for the iPad Air and, I assume, a similar amount for the Galaxy). Wife and I both have Xperia phones, and generally like Sony's take on Android. Waterproof feature may come in handy with kids using it!
Note: I've stayed away from Windows-equipped tablets; these generally don't appeal to me, and the lack of app choice doesn't fill me with confidence.
Thanks for any advice!
Cheers
Jonathan
