I want to update the Android version on my MB525 and read the following article for advise but i need a little help if someone doesn't mind

The first step in the third link from kiwijunglist was to flash froyo. I understand froyo is android 2.2 (i think), but what is the actual process of flashing it. With this help, i should be able to follow the other instructions

I tried to install the updater from the cyanogenmod site which looked to be the easiest way, but i got a parse error and could not install it
