I dropped my ASUS Transformer Pad TF300TG and have cracked the screen.  My insurer says it is beyond economic repair and has offered a similar replacement or cash settlement.  My problem is I can not find a currently available product that meets my requirements:

10 inch screen
Android
Tactile keyboard
3G (I don't want to tether to a phone)
Good battery life
GPS

The current ASUS models do not seem to have 3G.  Any other suggestions?  I like that the ASUS keyboard has a second battery and docks with the screen, but I would consider a separate bluetooth keyboard/ folding case combination if the other criteria are met.

Alternatively has anybody had a screen and/or digitizer replaced on an ASUS Transformer or used one of the do-it-yourself kits and can offer advice?

Are you limited in what shops your insurer will allow you to purchase a replacement from?

The TF300TG is still available from a few outlets https://price.geekzone.co.nz/product.aspx?pid=886468209  (not all 3g) or http://pricespy.co.nz/category.php?l=s157876606
The TF700T would be good but also isn't available anywhere except ValueBasket which has not been getting good reputation..

An alternative could be get a samsung tablet with 3G, and a case for it that has a tactile bluetooth keyboard.

It is strange your insurer wrote it off. They are only £89.99 to get fixed here in the UK. Have they let you keep it ?

Thanks for the suggestions.
I did find new TF300TG's for sale and in stock in NZ,  but the price was the same as what I paid nearly two years ago.  I couldn't bring myself to pay that for a product that must be becoming obsolete.
As for repair, I had emailed ASUS in NZ and they never replied, so didn't bother further with them.  I am not sure why the insurer didn't get it fixed - maybe they need to use "mainstream" providers.
I don't understand why ASUS has dropped 3G from their more recent offerings.  Maybe I was the only one that thought the combination of 3G, a decent keyboard and great battery life was a good thing.  I don't need it for work at present so can take my time to find a suitable replacement.
