Hi Guys,

Im going to update my gear 2 neo this month and i have narrowed it down to 2 devices but i cant decide - as i am torn.

first there is the moto 360
1st gen device - people always say dont go first gen
android wear - I know android wear will be the future but right now its very primitave compared to tizen on gear s
cpu - 4 year old texas instruments cpu - pretty old school.
round display - tis nice but some people complain parts of wear apps are cut off
battery life - 2ish days - also moto just released a patch today so the bluetooth runs on low power mode now
strap nice and easily interchangable - very nice to have option to choose strap.

secondly there is the gear s
3rd gen watch
tizen os - can tell sammy have been hard working on it
cpu - 1.4 dual core from my memory
curved square display - very bold, but i dont mind bold
battery life - 2ish days on the 300mah battery
take calls
sim slot so can run independently to phone
strap is pretty oem - like gear fit - will have to live with a average strap but thats not the end of the world.

i work for noel leeming and i know the 360 eta is 8 october and gear s eta is 15 october - (I'm a technology trainer for NL)

moto 360 400 rrp
gear s probably but not sure $499ish rrp.

What do i do guys?

oh and i use a galaxy s5 as a daily driver so the gear s will pair with me fine.

Alright so hear is where I stand at the moment:

I love my Android devices and am currently using a Nexus 5. When choosing a phone my lowest priority is the overall form factor. If hardware and software are to my liking I will most definitely pick accordingly. That being said, The Moto 360 looks gorgeous

I would like to think my superficial side had no say over my wearable choice but it is what I am wearing. I want it to look like a watch NOT look like a tiny, square phone sitting on my wrist. I can apprecaite the issues with the Moto but at the same time it looks most like a watch to me.

I guess you've seen a few reviews?

The moto g charge cradle looks quite nice.

I've got the Sony SW2 and the development community is breathing life into it still. I'd take a round watch with a transreflective screen, waterproof, 4day battery life. Till then I'll stick with a square faced watch.

You obviously have a Samsung phone to pair it with if you already have the gear 2 neo. That Samsung are trying to build their own walled garden by only having compatibility with their own handsets had always irked me slightly, and prevented me from even considering their watches. So in the reverse, if you are happy that your future phones will be from Samsung then the S is pretty cool.
The 360 is the best looking offering so far, except for the 'flat tire' effect of the display. Despite improvements from the latest firmware, it's battery life is still a concern.

I may look at the Zenwatch when there is more info out.

Thanks for the update - wait is longer than I hoped :( Bought on an impulse last week after reading the other thread.

I know how you feel buddy. 2 of us at my work did the same thing. Preordered. Credit card charged and order says complete. But no Moto 360.
Googling the issue I discovered that Australia are also not getting stock till late October, early November.
Oh well, nothing to do now but wait.

I am waiting patiently as well. In the mean time though I am looking at the delay as beneficial to me because I went and ordered screen protectors for the watch yesterday. The screen protectors should be arriving around the same time the Moto 360 does.

Also here is the link to the screen protector I purchased. They are $15 US a pack (you get two in a pack) and are the same ones that Motorola sell with their online Moto 360 orders. The company that makes them ships internationally so no need for Youshop.

Thanks Moto 360 buddy. smile
Just ordered a set myself. $21 USD to protect a $400 NZ watch, makes sense.
Waiting for my Moto 360 is killing me.

My attempts to contain my excitement are being broken down day by day. I really can't wait to receive the damn thing. What colour have you ordered?

I have ordered black. I have also already downloaded apps and have bookmarked all the guide and tips etc.
Just missing the actual watch! Was so hopeful it would be available on 13th like the post eluded to. Oh well.
I have a Pebble (Kickstarter model). Love it. But the Moto 360 is colour, has a HRM and runs Android Wear.
So Pebble will be relocated to right wrist with Fitbit Flex. cool
If only I could get my hands on Google Glass as well....
