Interested in GMail 5.0 with multiple accounts and Exchange support. Anyone using it yet?

Also, does it sync email only, or the whole account (Contacts, Calendar, Tasks)?

I've been looking at the Android 5.0 preview ported to the Nexus 4, basically the new GMail app incorporates the existing functionality of the email/exchange app (and replaces it).

I've been using it for a few days. It looks like they have just rolled the exact same functionality from the separate 'email' client into the Gmail one. All the setup screens etc were exactly the same (But with material design).

Yes it sync everything (Contacts, calendar etc.)

Cool. Waiting for this update to be available and might ditch the HTC Email.

Yes, that's where I saw it first. If you manually install the APKs will Play update it normally after that?

Thank you folks. Also now that GMail and Calendar are updated, is there a Contacts app as well and a Dialler? Or should I just go and buy a Google-branded device instead?

I've seen a screenshot of an updated contacts app icon only - but an update is likley. As for dialler, that's an updated dialler in Lolipop but probably won't roll out to older versions.

Since this wasn't offered to me via Play yet, I've downloaded the APKs for Exchange and GMail 5.0

Setup is simple. eiother via GMail or a new Exchange account type in Account | Settings.

Calendar not being synchronised, even though it is checked. If I open the Google Calendar account and go to set which calendars to display I am presented with GMail, Facebook, my other Exchange account (the one still using the stock HTC Exchange) but not the one just added via GMail.

Anyone seeing this?

I see the bug: I've added my second Exchange account and Google Calendar app is showing both Exchange accounts with the same colour and under the same account name, instead of being two different account names.

Someone didn't test this through...
