My wife's Android phone is on the verge of being deceased ( Huawei P7) it was functioning yesterday but she did have some issues waking it up when idle. She got off the plane last evening and the phone is $%$##. The display is blank and the phone is unresponsive. The LED goes from orange to green briefly then back to range.
It makes the sounds of messages being received which is odd as we have taken the SIM out.
When I connect the device to my iMac Android File transfer does not recognise that  it is connected. When I connect it to my Windows PC it shows as a drive, but when I try to access it says "insert disc" checking properties it is reported a Linux system.
My wife would like to get Data of the phone like Contacts etc has anyone got any ideas how to do this ?

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.

Assuming she set up a google account, chances are the contacts are sync'd with the google account, which she can log into via the web?

I tried that but because of restrictions she has been unable to do this.
