Something to check when your phone upgrades to Lollipop.

My Xperia Z2 recently updated to Lollipop via OTA. After the update, I noticed that callers were not able to hear me during calls unless I switched to speakerphone.

Googling the issue, it seems this is quite common with lollipop OTA across a variety of phones - ie. microphone not working for phone calls.

The issue was fixed via a hard factory reset/wipe, but not a lot of fun as have to reset all apps etc.

That said, loving Lollipop over Kit Kat.
