I received a notice today that there's a software update available for my Vodafone Smart Prime, to version 5.0.2/250FJN1. Since I'm already running Android 5.0.2 I assume that this isn't an Android update but just a custom build update. I've upgraded but didn't get any information about what the update changed. Does anyone know? (Hopefully it'll make Pokemon Go a bit more stable on this phone!)

MR? Maintenance Release? So just bug and security fixes, nothing that I'd really notice?

One thing I noticed on the wifes phone is it now allows you to store photos on the SD card from the stock camera app.

Yay, I couldn't see the point of an SD slot when you couldn't save pictures to the card. Glad that's fixed, keep getting the "Not enough memory" message when  downloading updates

After the update I have one number that texts me on a 021 number thats in my contacts, but I can only text back on her +64 021 number, so now i have two numbers. Well the same number but one with a +64 prefix.

Any ideas here?

Both my partner and I have the Vodafone Smart Prime, and we both updated to this new version. On Friday afternoon/evening we both lost the ability to use GPS. I loaded up a GPS test app and it reported that there were no satellites. It stayed like this for a couple of hours, I restarted my phone a couple of times but that made no difference. If it was just my phone then I could accept that it was just a glitch, but for it to happen to my partner's phone at exactly the same time that was too much of a coincidence. Fortunately the GPS worked fine over the weekend on both our phones. But I've come to the conclusion that this phone is too under-powered to run Pokemon Go smoothly, so I might look at upgrading to something a bit better, even though all my other apps run fine on it.

hah, did the update for mum over the weekend (storage was her biggest issue).  had a moment of panic when it asked for the network unlock code (using it on 2deg).  Did find the old code in my emails but didn't get the prompt again after a restart.

Will ask her if she's noticed any change! (see if the +64 SMS issue bothers her - I think i've got her setup using textra instead of the default SMS 'client' which may make a difference).

Thanks tanivula, the textra worked, no double up of numbers now.
