I'm waiting for a Jolla C to arrive running Sailfish OS.

I've been looking around doing some research on Sailfish.  It's a development of Meego and can while it has it's own apps can also run Android apps.

During my searches I discovered there is a port of Sailfish that runs on Android devices and there is a section on the XDA forums devoted to Sailfish.

I really rate Meego as an OS and am looking forward to trying out what is effectively a later version of Meego.

Here's demo video of Sailfish on a phone being sold in India, the Intex Aqua Fish.

Has anyone here installed Sailfish on any of their Android devices?

I've had Sailfish running perfectly on my Nexus 4 and I loved it. It should be available for newer Nexuses as well. Head over to or to the Sailfish forums, you should find several ports there.

I take it you're not currently running Sailfish?

My Jolla C arrived today.  I must say so far I'm very impressed with the OS.

The phone itself is pretty low spec but the OS runs well and has some pretty cool features.

I'll be writing a bit more about it shortly on the thread I started under the Symbian and Meego OS section of Geekzone.
