Just got my mate 9

I love the packaging they seem to all do these days makes you really feel that you have a "special" item. Apple of course learnt this years ago. Anyway So far a gorgeous phone. Very fast clean lines well you know what you expect for a $1000 odd phone.

One issue i did have was the "build" process usually as soon as you have put google details in thats pretty much the last you have to touch it. It had some very annoying Huauwei screens asking this and that sign up for blah blah. Just saying I could have done without it.

It also looks like it has a screen protector already on the device? You do get a back protection plate included which is a bonus.

Will get back in a few weeks see how its going

Oh it has nougat 7 so can I assume it has the new google assistant thingy?

Waiting for PB Tech to tell us our order of the Mate 9 is ready to be picked up :)

Comes with a 256 SD Card i'm told :)

I think my SGS7 will have to do for a while yet.

Huawei can't really compete with SGS7! SGS7 has way better camera than the Mate!

In many ways my wife's Huawei P9 Plus has a better camera than my S7 Edge

I got mine from Noel lemmings came with a 64 card and 46? fly by points also dont Pbtech have surcharges for some form of payments? bit old fashioned

The Mate 9 camera has some pretty impressive technology. I saw a demo where it effectively behaved like a Lytro Illum......capturing several depths at once and allowing the image to be refocused later. Impressive. I paid $1200 for my Lytro Illum....and Huawei make a phone that can do it....and be a phone.
