Nougat was only released to those who had participated in the beta program. It will likely be released to the various unlocked/carrier free models over the next couple of weeks. I wouldn't expect to see it on the NZ sourced models for at least a few weeks possibly a month or 2.

Also, no Odin file, it was an OTA for the last beta release.

The NZ S6 got Marshmallow in May last year, ~7 months after Google released it.

Or just wait for the BTU (UK unlocked) or even XSA (Aus unlocked) Odin files in the next week or so and flash those. No worries about crippling a bunch of functionality when you trip Knox, there is a bunch of stuff in 7.0 that is dependent on it now that wasn't in 6.0.

There's a few stock apps that won't work. Can't recall them all off the top of my head. They were listed by Samsung early in the beta. But S health is one of them.

I've tweeted 2degrees to see if they have any idea when they'll push the update. I'll update this post when/if they reply.

According to 2degrees on Twitter, we won't see the Nougat update until March.

Yeah, I'm not thrilled. I'll probably have a new phone by then (I have the Trade up plan) anyway. Perhaps it'll be back to iOS this time...

I'm thinking about the S8 but the way Samsung do their updates does my head in; My wife's new Mate 9 has had 3 updates since late Dec along with the Google Security updates and they don't seem to have this carrier enforced handbrake basically like Apple who don't have it either.

God I am tempted to pull the trigger on the M9, but I NEED the pro.

Samsung really is slow. One of the slowest according to Android Authority. I don't understand why we have to wait for our carriers to push the update though? What does 2degrees have to do and why does it take them to March?
