Just thought I'd kick off a thread about the Lenovo P2 to see if there are any other owners out there (and possibly promote a few more). It's been officialy released in the UK, so it's not just confined to SE Asia, this model.
I purchased from Superbuy (Malaysia), for around $400 NZD landed. Took 10 days to get here, which is pretty good from that part of the world. Wherever you buy from, make sure you get the p2a42 variant, which is the global hardware version, and - importantly for Aus/NZ - has Band 28 support (700Mhz) for 4G LTE.
It's a heck of a lot of phone for the money and ticks a lot of boxes: 5.5" AMOLED (1920x1080), 4GB RAM, 32GB storage, pretty good 13MP camera, all aluminium body, Gorilla Glass 3, front fingerprint sensor, dual SIM (shared slot or single SIM w/SD card to 128GB), NFC, fast charging, and 5100mAh battery. At the end of a full day of use (I'm a fairly light user) there's still about 80% battery left.
Surprisingly good speaker too. It's still using the older micro-USB for charging instead of USB-C, which could be good or bad depending on your current cable setup. No weather or water proofing.
Being a Snapdragon 625, it's plenty fast enough and there's already good custom ROM support - although you do need to wait 14 days after asking Lenovo to unlock the bootloader.
Finally, if you're a dinosaur like me and still use FM radio, in contrast to the latest flagships, you can still listen to your RNZ National for free :)

EDIT: A standard disclaimer since it's not released in NZ is that you have no local support / CGA backup. And if your dog eats it or your kids drop it, local repair and parts are likely to be challenging.
