^ was thinking the same thing.  Camera on the SU6 is ordinary, and no gyro for Google Cardboard etc.  Do the new phones have gyro?

The Smart V8 looks like a great phone but are we going to see regular security updates coming through each month or will it be like low cost phones in the past - here is the software and don't expect any updates or upgrades?

It's a $350 phone, don't expect too much.

Expecting security updates isn't really asking for much.

I don't get why this price level doesn't just have dual band Wi-Fi... like it surely can't cost much more at all.

Would be interested to hear people's thoughts of the V8 versus the galaxy j5.

It's brand new. I think I'm entitled to expect something. Some after market support for starters. Next some self interest & looking after the commons by making sure their network is not flooded by botnets & crypto ransom hosts. Yeah, I want some regular security updates for the reasonable amount of time from the provider. 6x security updates over two years sounds damn nice.

Awesome news, I read about the V8 on an overseas forum a couple of weeks ago and was wondering if we would see it

My 2yo SU6 is about ready for replacement so this could be a very viable option. Full HD, 3gb ram and essentially pure google OS should make this a bargain as what the SU6 & SU7 were
