Hi Guys/Gals.

Just a quick question.
Has anyone had any luck with connecting an Android Device with Apple Airplay express ?. Preferably without any Rooting or Modufication to original Android Device

I've seen one App that will allow it but Android needs to be rooted to allow the App to function. I think its called Allshare.

Basically all I want to achieve is an increase in range or distance that I can't achieve with bluetooth.

I have an Apple Airplay Express adapter which uses Wifi as its transmission medium so will give increased range - but sadly is Apple only friendly.

Any pointers would be great.

Cheers

What are you trying to Send from the Android Device?  and where is it going after the Airport Express? (to a computer or a TV or speakers,)?

Hi Wellygary.

Basically I have an Apple Airport Express adapter (One of those 240v plugpack types) that has onboard Wifi, Ethernet, USB aswell as 3.5mm Analog/optical digital Audio Output.

What I would like to do is use that in place of my current Bluetooth adapter that is plugged into my Home Stereo Pre-Amp.

The Android device I am using is a Samsung Galaxy S9 - which is running a standard Mp3 player.
