I have an Android tablet coupled with a Logitech Bluetooth keyboard/folio case.

Worked fine for ages but last couple times I went to solve the Stuff crossword, the keyboard strokes enter the letter twice, then jumps to third space ahead!!

Using the keyboard for anything else, e.g. emails, it works fine, just not when filling in the crossword spaces.

I've cleared the keyboard App and Chrome caches etc but no change.  Also ensured keyboard was fully charged and re-connected Bluetooth.

Any ideas?  Is it me or the Stuff site?

Does it occur on other sites / apps ?

If not, then I'd be looking at Stuff.

Hmmm, keyboard seems ok when typing letter etc, BUT when trying to send an email the Shift-2 key displays the ".

Pressing Shift-" brings up the @

Clearly something amiss with keyboard itself?

Sounds like keyboard language has gone to European of some sort.

Check the language/region settings in Android.

That's a UK English layout (the @ and " are swapped from the US layout), so a settings issue. Your keyboard is, as you describe it and as it should be, US layout. Android keyboard settings should be US. Check settings for hardware keyboard, as I think they may be different to the soft keyboard settings. You'll have to hunt for settings, I'm not in a position to do so currently.

People often mistake me for an adult because of my age.

Keep calm, and carry on posting.

Physical (Bluetooth) keyboard set for English (US) layout.  Always has been as I recall.

Oddly, the Shift-2 now produces the @ sign correctly .... I think my keyboard is possessed? 🤡

If you have W11, down by the bottom-right corner of the main screen is a alpha code indicating your current language setting.  Click it and you should get some options.

Keep an eye on this area if you're having typing issues. If you've selected British it will display :

ENG
UK

When mine is set to this, the keyboard behaves like a British keyboard and gets it's " and @ mixed up.  If I have my language set to NZ English and US-International keyboard, everything works just fine.

There is also an option for NZ Aotearoa. Good for Maori place names and common Maori words and automatically adds the diacritics above letters too.  But IME that kept reverting to the British keyboard, so I had to abandon it.

Anyone got an Android tablet and using a Bluetooth keyboard to check if just me or maybe it's Stuff's end?

Had the idea to test the Bluetooth keyboard by pairing it with my PC ... found that it works flawlessly including when completing the crossword puzzle.

Therefore, problem seems to lie with the tablet?  Perhaps its Bluetooth is failing?

OK, had a Gin and tonic so thinking cleared immediately 😬 ... set the Stuff puzzle/crossword page to Desktop Site, et voila!!

No idea why that setting should be different to the default view.
