I wasn't really paying attention when I repartitioned my sdcard tonight. I didn't bother backing up the partition table as it was only an sdcard.

I put the sdcard into the tablet and the linux swap partition wasn't visible.

Hmmm.

So I put it back into the sdcard reader and had a look...and the swap partition was there.

OH......wait a minute.....I'm looking at my PC hard drive.......and I've wiped my system partition.

Clever, eh.

OK....the system's screwed....but I'm taking a backup of all my data from that drive before I shutdown....because when I shutdown it's all going to disappear on me.

Where's that Ubuntu boot CD.

OK...so it was a double-stupid day. I set the system up two years ago.......

I didn't re-partition my system drive.

I did re-partition my data drive.

I did have two separate, current backups of the data drive.

Maybe I'll partition it again just for fun.....cos it doesn't matter.

Off to bed.
