Now that I am a resident in the Land of The Rooted I'm quite curious what custom Froyo Rom everyone is running on their Desire. And what made you pick that one?

I am using a custom MoDaCo R8 ROM, with a mod for green circular battery indicator and transparent notification blind. The mods just kinda look nifty, and I picked custom MoDaCo so I can shed the bits I don't need/want.

LeeDroid 2.0a. Will upgrade when he changes the kernel, but 2.0b was released this morning.

Looking into other roms though, NeoPhyte's rom looks quite nice. I've been considering going to a Non Sense ROM also, but it seems you get less of a complete solution (eg wifi tethering?) and have to install extras to get things going.

I haven't even rooted my Desire! So far it does everything and supplies everything I want, without needing to root it.

I may at some stage decide to root, but not at the present!

Pinky Desire 1.8

I picked it because everything is stable and it's the fastest one I've found, I've experienced less glitches than some other ROMs.

Leedroid 2.0a and had no problems. Not upgrading to every new version though... Very small changes.

Cheers- N

I've been having problems with multiple Google accounts syncing push email - the OTA came out for most European Desires a couple of days ago. Now I'm discovering part of the joys of using custom ROM is waiting for the creator to incorporate OTA changes... Frown

Now running LeeDroid 2.1a. So far so good. It's only been a couple of hours though and I'm still setting everything up. Apps seem to have installed fine. Haven't found any issues as of yet. HTC Desire from Clove
