Looks like people thinking Samsung were doing the Nexus 2 were right!  The Nexus S :)

http://www.engadget.com/2010/11/11/google-nexus-s-is-the-samsung-gt-i9020/

Leaked at Engadget, leaked on BestBuys latest product SKU,

Just hope it's true, if the specs of Super AMOLED, Hummingbird Processor, 2.3 Gingerbread are true, then the Galaxy S should receive a nice working copy of 2.3 too!!!

Interesting blow to HTC from Google's end.

Very keen on getting one to replace my aging 3GS.

I don't know if its just me but I find the galaxy series design quite ugly.

I have a nexus one and those photos just don't make me wanna upgrade.

The shape of it reminds me of a slightly wide Nokia 5800.

i9000 is definitely better looking. Touchscreen Smart-phones these days all look quite similar though. I really hope this means that a stock version of 2.3 will become available for the sgs though.

Where's the multicoloured glowy trackball? :)

If it's another single-core 1Ghz device, then I don't really see the point. Maybe a super-hires screen?

My trusty N1 still has some life in it yet.

I'm interested in it having TV-out so I can plug into my car's centre monitor.

If its like the Nexus One then part of the idea of this would be to push the current hardware limits, so I'd be hoping for a high res screen and something like Samsungs Orion chipset (dual core monster!).

I think this might be the coolest feature of Gingerbread!

Rumoured specs are:

4" Super AMOLED
1.2GHz CPU
5MP camera with LED flash
Frontal video call camera
512ROM
16GB internal memory (maybe expandable via micro SD?)
No TouchWiZ UI, just plain stock Gingerbread 2.3/3.0 which apparently will support video calling, hence the frontal video call camera.

Here's hoping it's at least quad band and that it's available to the world outside the US and some European countries this time, or is that too much to ask..

That's basically just our Galaxy S with a slightly overclocked processor and Flash?

Even the front and rear cameras are in the same place!!! Never really liked the video calling though, have tried it a few times and it's a bit weird!

I think the sensors, front camera and light sensor are almost dead on as well, its' just liek a more curved version

Might do some comparison pics tomorrow, with the same hand held viewing angles

I think the big question on every one's mind is will this come with kies?

The 3G in the above spec sheet doesn't look too promising..

Not keen on the overly-rounded shape all over, and the very slippery-looking back (like the SGS).

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
