Hi,

Anyone try performing the update and not performing the "Master Clear"?

Cheers,
Julius.

I plugged the device in and mounted the drive.  There was already a Garmin folder on the _internal_ SD card so I renamed it to Garmin.old. Then I copied the Garmin folder from the unzipped download into the _internal_ SD Card (next to the Garmin.old) in the top level / root of the SD card. After this I unmounted / ejected and the device found the update.

Sorry to sound stupid... top level/root of the SD where is that
I copied to the SD card like a file transfer.
It picks up the update goes thru the process but when the garmin asus name with a 3 section bar underneath it comes up it hangs on the first section

How long did the update take you

Oh it sounds like it's all working perfectly - except for the hanging. (BTW - by root I meant the top most directory on the SD Card)

It took about 5 - 10 minutes I think...  If it's not finishing after 10 minutes I would try a reboot and try again - not very scientific option... :)

Hey Julius

Just read your previos posts again
You say there was a Garmin folder there already
Did you put the downloaded folder onto the removable SD card on on to the internal storage

Hi,

I put the folder into the internal storage not the removable storage. This device comes with 4GB (I think) internal.

Cheers,
Julius.

Sorry to keep bugging you.
Does this reset the phone to fact specs or does it leave your phone book and downloaded apps intact
