Hi all,

I have done something I knew I would end up doing eventually - and that is totally bricking my Samsung Galaxy S - what's worse is I can't get into Download Mode or Recovery (but the bootloader seems to still exist) - Has anyone out there got a JIG Cable, that is possibly in Christchurch so I can get my phone into Download Mode + flash one of the official Samsung roms?

At the moment the Galaxy S is running Cyanogenmod 7, which has no way to access recovery, I mucked up and flashed a Cyanogenmod update without flashing the Telecom Modem afterwards, which means I have no network + wifi access, nor can I get into recovery or download to re-flash the Modem.

Weird thing is, I actually used Download Mode with the 3 button combo to flash Cyanogenmod, so something has mucked up with the update preventing me from getting into it again. It's a real pain >.<

Hi michaelmurfy,

After playing with my new Samsung Captivate for XT, not the Galaxy S i purchased from someone on this forum ;-) (my dad enjoys that phone ATM), after installing CM7 and a wrong modem, this is how i managed to set it right

Option 4 worked for me. i know its for the 'Captivate' but I hear it should work similarly with the Galaxy S
