Rumours are coming in that the Nexus 3 will be manufactured by LG and will be available by Christmas this year. It's said to have a Tegra 3 quad core processor which fits in line with Nvidia's dev roadmap.

Quad core on a phone. Wow...

I want someone to make a reasonably speedy phone but put a huge weight on the design for battery life.

I agree battery life is the key. Hardware innovation has come on in leaps and bounds but it doesn't appear that the battery industry has followed suit. There needs to be some serious R & D invested in mobile batteries. That's been the big criticism around the 4G HTC devices in the US. Battery life lasting 4 hours which is rubbish.

I always buy a spare battery...and for my SG-S I have two spare batteries. If you have spare batteries, the life of any one battery is "Who cares".....It only takes about 2 mins to swap to a fresh one.

If I'm heavy on the GPS and wifi (Wifitracker or similar), 3G (web browsing or FB / twitter), display on full brightness in daylight, and listening to tunes via Bluetooth, I can kill a fully charged battery on two hours. Three batteries gets me through the day. No worries.
