I've got a Samsung I5800gt and I've got a problem with 3g data.

The phone is running Stock JPM 2.2 Froyo on Vodafone.

When the phone is indicating a '3g' connection, I have no data connection. Webpages time out, all apps are unable to connect. The outgoing Data arrow flickers on and off but nothing is received.

As soon as the phone switches to 'H' (HSPA) everything works fine. No problem on GPRS either.

I'm on the stock Vodafone APN (www.vodafone.net.nz) but have also tried a custom Corporate Customer APN on a different sim. Both gave the same result.

I'm not sure if this is an issue with our local towers as I haven't had a chance to test it out of town.

Is there any app or anything I can do to test this issue? Can I force the phone to use 3g only (not hspa) to test it in another area?

Any suggestions would be helpful.
