Sorry for the twofer but I have two different issues on two different devices and didn't want to start two threads

Yesterday I saw that there was an update for my Facebook for Android app on my Acer Iconia but it wouldn't manually update so I uninstalled the app thinking I would just reinstall it and get the latest version, only to find that when I look in the market for "Facebook" there is no longer a standard Facebook for Android App listed???
I have tried the old and new market and even unrooted the device but still it isn't there.
Anyone know what might cause it to not show?

I notice that other apps I use on my Desire are not available when i look at the market on my tablet. Things like Go Contacts. I haven't got 3G but I would still like to manage contacts and sync with Gmail.

My other issue is that the FaceBook for Android app on my HTC Desire keeps turning off sync. I have it set to "Sync with existing contacts" under settings but if I restart the phone it defaults back to "Don't Sync". I think it sometimes does this when I haven't rebooted.
I am running MIUI Custom Rom v107080 [Which I highly recommend] with Android 2.3.4

Any help appreciated.

Is the Facebook app stored on your internal memory or the microSD card? I had the same issue when I had Faacebook on the microSD. Try keeping it on the internal memory and see if that helps.

Not sure about the other questions sorry.

I spotted soon after 1.6 was out there was mixed comments about it. So I didn't upgrade.

Couple of friends said it was fine, so I upgeaded. Bad move

Within 30mins I was back onto XDA forums and downloading 1.5.6 again.

Check the comments about 1.6, They decided to bombard us with 'Like' and 'is now friends with' spam, and not raw comments anymore (can't have it being simple now can we!). it has a pile of bugs along with it it seems.

People have had success in doing full installs with it, or logging out to clear its cache. But it worked for 1 refresh. Going by the 1-2 star comments it has a pile of now. I would roll back to 1.5.x and be happy till they fix the mess :) It may well solve your issues

Oops, GZ threw a wobbly

Thanks for that, i didn't think to check that as I have never been able to move it to the SD card using "Manage Applications"  I guess Titanium Back Up must have managed it at some piont.

Hopefully that's sorted Laughing

For the Iconia, try search for the Facebook App on your browser rather than through the Market app. This way tells me my Galaxy Tab is not compatible, and it also doesn't show up in the Market.

If you have issues with apps like that you can just download the .apk file and install from the SD Card...

Yeah it looks like they took honeycomb support for Facebook app away in latest update. I prefer using the full version in a browser like opera anyway.
