We have purchased a parallel import Samsung Galaxy S GT-I9000 and are experiencing problems getting 2degrees mobile data up and running. I set up the APN settings per the geekzone website (which pretty much matched the instruction sheet provided by shop – Ezigadget) but had no luck connecting to mobile data. So, after entering my phone details into the 2degrees website, 2degrees sent the APN settings directly to the phone. The APN settings sent by 2degrees are different to the standard settings on geekzone, and are as follows:

NAME: 2degrees Internet
APN: internet
PROXY: 118.148.1.118
PORT: 8080
USERNAME: Not set
PASSWORD: Not set
SERVER: Not set
MMSC: Not set
MMS PROXY: Not set
MMS PORT: Not set
MCC: 530
MNC: 24
AUTHENTICATION TYPE: PAP
APN TYPE: internet

After adopting these APN settings sent by 2degrees, mobile data now seems to work for applications (eg facebook, twitter, stuff etc) but the browser is still unable to connect to the web.

Any ideas for a fix would be greatly appreciated.

ps (mobile data and roaming are both enabled on the phone).

Take out the PROXY, PORT and AUTHENTICATION TYPE settings (ie set to blank or none).

Samsung Note20 Ultra, on 2degrees

You've got it sorted now, but another thing to watch out for is firmware that puts an asterisk in many of the fields. You assume the phone will ignore them, but it actually sees them as real values...and they all need to be removed or the data won't work.
